About Andrew Mika

Formerly a physics teacher in Fairfax County, Andy Mika brings a diverse skill set cultivated in the classroom to the realm of personal finance.  Andy embodies the qualities of patience and persistence, essential attributes for effectively communicating complex financial concepts. Drawing on the ability to explain concepts in multiple ways and provide relevant examples, Andy strives to help clients feel empowered and well-informed in their financial decisions. After retiring from teaching, Andy quickly obtained his Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation demonstrating his strong aptitude for acquiring and applying financial knowledge. Having achieved nearly all of his personal financial goals, Andy is passionate about using his knowledge and skills to assist clients in navigating their financial journey.

In his spare time, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren, visiting the Outer Banks, and doing volunteer work. He also enjoys sports (pickleball, tennis, and golf) and was a Division I wrestler during four years of college.
